Don't know about you, but I consider dog groomers on an equal par to hairdressers: you want to know they are going to cut well, that the blow dry will be right, that the hair spray (in this case doggy powder or finishing spray) will be nice. After all, lots of groomers are now as expensive as a good hair cut.
Up until now we've taken Dhillon (see him here) to the local groomers, who are good, but not great.
Barkers of Muswell Hill are GREAT. Everything about this place is amazing: from the shop bit, with it's fab array of treats, toys and dog 'equipment', to the staff, and the 'spa' at the back. Which, incidentally, is spotlessly clean. Important to know that your dog is in a sanitary environment.
Dhillon was very kindly invited down for a grooming session in the spa. He was booked in for a full groom, a 'pawdicure' (which includes special oil on the pads to protect them) and a light teeth clean. He had the works! And loved every minute of it.
It's funny, he HATES the hairdryer at home, but doesn't mind the one at the the groomers!
Dhilly even got a little bandanna to go home with! Doesn't he look smart? We re-booked him for 12 weeks time (Tanya dealt with him on the day).
